Can you force your computer to a website by using another route?

Im having problems trying to get to www. us. army. mil/ and I have tried EVERYTHING!!!!! I finally found online where someone was talking about using tracert to see where the problem lies.. I can see where it stops connecting and starts timing out.. but I dont know how to fix it from there! Does anyone have any idea on what my next step would be? PLEASE!

Trace complete. This is the ONLY website I cant get to for some reason?! I can get to every other website I usually go to.. Im only having problems with this one! It hasnt been working for weeks, and this is the only website that isn’t working. It only doesnt work from THIS computer so Im not sure if it has something to do with the internet options or the router… I even tried turning off the firewall but that didnt work either. Using TRACERT to troubleshoot.. please help!!!?

My recruiter gave me an AKO email address and i was having problems logging into it and setting it up on my computer. I followed the instructions on the homepage of this site but it didn’t work for some reason. When I hit login or anything like that on the homepage a webpage comes up that says:

I can’t access certain sites one important one for example is www. us. army. mil, when I type in this address it takes me to the Yahoo search page. I can try and click the AKO link from there and it say page can’t be displayed. None of my settings have changed, I have called Charter and they say it’s not my modem (don’t know how they know that just from me telling them I can’t go to a site) anyways, I’ve tried everything. I had someone come out who said it was my modem, because it drops internet randomly and alot. They also hooked up there computer (which they tested to make sure on wireless could get to www. us. army. mil) and anyways hooked it up to my internet access and it wouldn’t work for them either. My husband is gone right now (Military obviously) and I’m not a computer person. Can anyone recommend something I can try. I really need to print off some documents for him.
